Rising Above

Updated: Mar 6, 2022

Poverty is very real in most countries, but especially in underdeveloped countries like Kenya and Uganda. Wholly Yours Ministries goal is to help those in poverty rise above and be a productive part of their communities. We believe education is the key to combating poverty and are proud to be a small part of making this happen. We have the distinct privilege of being able to help three young men as they are on the path to "rising above". Thanks for all who have given to help and those that will give to help them in the future.

Congratulations are in order to Joshua Opolot who will be starting the "School of Hygiene - Mbale" this coming Monday. Joshua is the oldest son of Pastor Robert Opolot, head of Shalom Resurrection Life Ministries, Uganda who is our partner in sharing the gospel. Joshua has helped me with several projects there and is such a blessing to so many. Please join me in wishing him well and keep him in your prayers. Thanks to you all of his fees and expenses are now paid!

Congratulations are also in order to Keith Williams Atimbo who will be attending Makindu KMTC in Nairobi Kenya where he will be enrolled in the medical program. Keith is a bright young man who is the oldest son of Pastor Athanus Atimbo, Director of Wholly Yours Ministries - Africa. He is still in need of funding to fully enroll but we are believing for God's provisions.

The third young man who we need to congratulate is Mukisa Godfrey who we have been blessed to help to attend Hair Stylist School, "Easy Beauty Spot" in the Nansana district of Kampala Uganda. Mukisa is a keyboardist who has a heart to serve the Lord and has traveled for WYM to help Pastor David Mugabi in Kayunga Uganda. Mukisa created a short video letting the WYM donors how much he appreciates their support and promises to do well. He currently walks to school, which takes him 40 minutes one way, and is in a need of a bicycle.

If you can possibly help with the remaining funding for Keith Williams and Mukisa a bike, we'd really appreciate it. This is another opportunity for each one of us that God has blessed financially to be part of what God is doing in the earth and help our brothers and sisters be all they can be in Christ. We need an additional $350 to complete paying for Keith Williams first semester of school and need $120 to buy a bike for Mukisa. Any money received above these needs will be placed in our education fund for future needs as these and others continue beyond the first semester.

For those who cannot give financially, please pray because prayer changes things and is the most important thing we can do, even above giving financially.
