Update! Update! Update!

It's been a few weeks since my last blog post, mainly because the projects we're currently working on are large projects, progress slowly, and only move forward as funds are donated. We have made great progress on them though and below is an update. Thanks for all your prayers and donations!

First, Fredrick now has a wheelchair, new school uniforms, is now fully enrolled in school with fees paid for the first semester and is doing very well! Thanks for blessing this young man and helping him have a bright future!

Second, there has been great progress made on two of the three houses we're building for the pastors who are part of the Wholly Yours Ministries team. Those three pastors are, Pastor David Mugabi (Kyunga, Uganda), Pastor Kalvon Onyango (Dolwe Island, Uganda), and Pastor Patrick Wangira (Mombasa, Kenya). Pastor David Mugabi's home is now built to beam level, Pastor Kalvon's house has been built to roof level and today we received enough donated funds to completely roof it. Pastor Patrick's house has not yet been funded or started. Having their own homes is a true blessing as they can concentrate on ministry work rather than struggling trying to pay rent each month. It also reduces the monthly burden on Wholly Yours Ministries because much of our funds go to helping with housing pastors and helping with some of their basic needs.

Third, thanks to donations from the Church of New Beginnings, Glade Spring Virgina, the Katekwan church has been built and now has doors and windows installed. It is completely enclosed! The next step is putting in the concrete floor, alter, plastering inside and out, painting and then getting chairs, musical instruments and sound equipment. Thanks to all the hard work by Pastor Robert Opolot - Ministry Coordinator for Wholly Yours Ministries - Mable and his entire team for making this happen. Special thanks to Pastor Kaisu Enoka, Pastor Julius Atenia, Pastor James Okipi, Deacon Benon Opolot, Charles Malinga (engineer builder) and of course Pastor Robert Opolot, project coordinator.

We have several projects waiting in the wings and two of the churches we helped plant still need to have latrines dug and built. We have a lot of plans on projects to help the communities and to reach many with the gospel. We especially need medical funds as they have almost been depleted. There is a lot of malaria and typhoid in Kenya and Uganda and most of the time treating it is a matter of life and death. The need in medical situations is always immediate and we must have funds available at all times. Please consider being part of the great work the Lord is doing through Wholly Yours Ministries, keep us in prayer and financially donate if you're able to do so.
